Jelly Fish Final
These are the three jellyfish lit up and installed in the 208A Gallery inside the Church of Fine Arts Building. They each have their own Arduino and LEDs which are programmed to create the lighting effects that are taking place within the space. There is also an ocean waves soundtrack playing in the background. This project took many many hours and a lot of frustration, but I am very pleased with how it ended up. Although we were only able to complete three jellyfish, it works within the small space and the lights reflected off the walls add for an underwater feel.

You and Martin’s jellyfish were awesome in the classroom on their own, but they looked SICK in the gallery! Your installation was awesome and I think the simplicity of the blinking lights really set off the beauty of the pepakura jellyfish — super amazing on their own! The ocean sounds added a nice, subtle touch to the room, too. If you guys had had more time to work on this project, filling that gallery with the jellyfish would have been super cool to see. I hope you don’t throw them away after this!

A very, very impressive job overall. It’s really obvious that you both worked really hard on your project and even though you only created a smaller amount than first desired, the effect of a relaxing underwater oceanic effect is still brilliantly incorporated within the jellyfish. I would have loved to see the lights turn on a bit slower, but that’s just nit-picking. For a first time on new programs, they are exceptionally well made. Great job overall.
